Job summary

Savers Group Holdings Inc. is seeking a Food Technologist to develop and improve food and beverage products from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will work cross-functionally with production, procurement, sales, and marketing to deliver market-ready products, while adhering to FDA regulations, GMP, and HACCP. Strong science background and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology or related field.
• Registered Food Technologist preferred.
• Familiarity with FDA regulations and licensing processes in the Philippines.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, formulate, and test new food concepts, recipes, and prototypes.
• Modify existing products to improve taste, texture, nutritional value, shelf life, or cost-efficiency.
• Monitor and test physical, chemical, and sensory properties of raw materials and finished products.
• Establish quality control procedures and troubleshoot product defects, batch failures, or contamination issues.
• Ensure all operations and products comply with food safety laws, government regulations, and industry standards (FDA, GMP, HACCP).

Job description

As a Food Technologist, you are responsible for developing, improving, and ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of food and beverage products from raw materials to finished goods. Your role combines science, production, and regulatory standards to create market-ready products that are safe, cost-effective, and appealing to consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, formulate, and test new food concepts, recipes, and prototypes.
• Modify existing products to improve taste, texture, nutritional value, shelf life, or cost-efficiency.
• Monitor and test physical, chemical, and sensory properties (flavor, color, consistency) of raw materials and finished products.
• Establish quality control procedures and troubleshoot product defects, batch failures, or contamination issues.
• Ensure all operations and products comply with food safety laws, government regulations, and industry standards (FDA, GMP, and HACCP)
• Coordinate closely with production, procurement, sales, and marketing teams to ensure smooth product rollouts and commercial launches.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, or a closely related fields.
• Registered Food Technologist (highly preferred).
• Familiarity with Philippine Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, guidelines, and licensing processes.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
