Job Title: Food Safety and Cleanliness Manager
Salary: Up to PHP 80,000
Work Schedule/Setup: Onsite with regular working hours (8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM)
JOB SUMMARY: The Food Safety and Cleanliness Manager is responsible for ensuring that all food safety standards, hygiene practices, and cleanliness protocols are strictly followed across the organization. This role plays a critical part in maintaining compliance with health regulations, preventing contamination risks, and promoting a culture of food safety and sanitation excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Food Safety & Compliance
- Develop, implement, and monitor food safety policies and procedures in line with regulatory standards.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and preparation practices are consistently followed.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
- Oversee proper temperature control for food storage and preparation.
- Ensure all food is thoroughly cooked and handled using safe and approved methods.
Hygiene & Personal Safety Standards
- Enforce strict personal hygiene protocols, including proper handwashing practices.
- Ensure employees follow proper grooming standards, including clean attire and hair restraints.
- Monitor employee health conditions and enforce policies that prevent sick staff from handling food.
- Ensure proper handling of wounds and use of protective gear (e.g., gloves, bandages).
Cleaning & Sanitation
- Establish and implement cleaning and sanitation schedules for all areas.
- Ensure all food contact surfaces, equipment, and utensils are regularly cleaned and sanitized.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, restrooms, and customer-facing surfaces.
- Ensure facilities are well-maintained, stocked, and compliant with sanitation standards.
- Implement systems to prevent cross-contamination (e.g., separate tools for raw and cooked food).
- Train staff on proper segregation and handling of food items.
- Conduct regular training sessions on food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
- Stay updated on industry standards and recommend improvements to existing processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any related field.
- Proven experience in food safety, sanitation, or quality assurance (preferably in the food industry).
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
