Job Description
- Collaborate with Supervisors to develop, implement, and enforce procedures and systems that improve operational efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
- Develop, review, and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with the company’s approved health and safety plan and regulatory requirements of Department of Labor and Employment.
- Act as the Canteen Representative for health, safety, and environmental matters, assisting in the investigation of incidents or accidents in the area of responsibility.
- Monitor and ensure the enforcement of all health, safety, and environmental activities, guaranteeing adherence to agreed safety and loss prevention standards.
- Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify and eliminate hazards before health and safety committee meetings.
- Provide safety training, orientation, and awareness sessions to employees, contractors, and visitors, including the Mandatory 8-Hour Occupational Safety & Health Seminar and Smoke Cessation Seminar.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive measures. Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, including incident reports, training logs, and inspection findings.
- Promote and monitor the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce disciplinary measures for non-compliance where necessary.
- Monitor compliance with applicable codes, General Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety practices, and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of all areas (kitchen, dining, offices, stockrooms) to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks, including proper signages and toolbox talks.
- Assist in developing and implementing emergency response, evacuation, and contingency plans.
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously enhance the safety program.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide guidance on safety concerns in operational planning and process improvements.
- Lead safety campaigns, drills, and awareness programs to cultivate a proactive safety culture among all employees.
- Review and recommend improvements to equipment, facilities, and workflows to reduce occupational hazards.
- Coordinate with external regulatory agencies during inspections or audits and ensure timely compliance with findings.

Job Requirements
- With Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- Must have completed BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) training.
- Any certifications in Occupational Safety & Health, First Aid, Fire Safety, Food Safety, or related safety programs are preferred.
- Relevant training or seminars on DOLE-compliant OSH standards, GMP, and food handling safety are advantageous.
