Job summary

Atlantic Grains Inc. is seeking a Quality Controller to monitor quality, safety, and compliance across raw materials, in-process products, packaging, and finished goods. The role involves sampling, inspections, documentation, and addressing non-conformities in collaboration with Production and other departments.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant B.S. in Food Technology or related field, strong attention to detail, and willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with shifting

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow quality and food safety standards.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing/plant environment and shifting schedule.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; relevant experience is a plus.
• Candidates with 1–2 years of relevant experience in food manufacturing are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sampling and visual inspection of raw materials, in-process products, packaging materials, and finished goods.
• Monitor critical quality parameters throughout milling, blending, packing, storage, and loading processes.
• Perform laboratory and microbiological sampling according to established frequencies and standards.
• Verify additive dosage, water addition, product specifications, and packaging materials.
• Monitor GMP and food safety standards, including equipment cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assess dispositions for non-conforming raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
• Inspect trucks, warehouses, production areas, and food-contact surfaces as required.
• Monitor CCPs and metal detector verification; document findings.
• Support internal and external audits, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare quality checklists, reports, and electronic system updates.
• Promote and uphold food safety and quality culture, GMP, HACCP, and regulatory requirements.
