About the role
This role involves performing in-line quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure products meet established food safety, quality, and product specifications. You will monitor the effective implementation of GMP, SSOP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other food safety programs within production areas, and ensure compliance with quality and food safety standards across raw materials, work-in-process, finished products, equipment, personnel practices, and production areas.
Key responsibilities
- Perform in-line quality inspections throughout the production process to ensure products meet established food safety, quality, and product specifications
- Monitor the effective implementation of GMP, SSOP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and other food safety programs within production areas
- Inspect raw materials, work-in-process, finished products, equipment, personnel practices, and production areas for compliance with quality and food safety standards
- Monitor critical control points (CCPs), critical limits, and required quality and food safety parameters, and ensure proper documentation
- Identify, document, and elevate product and process non-conformities, deviations, and quality issues to the appropriate personnel
- Investigate unusual incidents, production problems, and deviations and coordinate with concerned departments for appropriate corrective and preventive actions
- Conduct finished product inspection and releasing based on approved specifications and quality requirements
- Verify that finished products are properly identified, labeled, packed, stored, and released in accordance with established procedures
- Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date QA inspection reports, monitoring records, checklists, deviation reports, and other quality documentation
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to maintain and improve product quality, food safety, and process compliance
About you
- Preferably a Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, or other related science courses
- Preferably with at least 1-2 years experience in related field
- Knowledge or awareness of GMP, SSOP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, and food safety practices
- Familiarity with quality inspection, documentation, product releasing, and non-conformance handling is an advantage
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality and food safety concerns
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Computer literate, particularly in MS Office applications
- Able to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and willing to work on shifting schedules
- Experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance is an advantage
