Job summary

BYD Mexico is seeking a Flash Charging Infrastructure Engineer to lead field deployment of BYD Flash Charging stations across Mexico. You will coordinate infrastructure construction and equipment installation with design firms, EPC contractors, construction teams, dealers, site owners and suppliers.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, excels at field execution, contractor management, and juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel across Mexico.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field.
• 3–5 years in construction, EV electrical installation, or project management.
• Experience with EPC projects and contractor management is a plus.
• Experience with EV charging stations and electrical infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the infrastructure construction and equipment installation of BYD Flash Charging stations throughout Mexico.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate site conditions, electrical capacity, civil works requirements, equipment installation requirements, and potential risks.
• Coordinate project execution with design companies, EPC contractors, construction companies, dealers, site owners, and suppliers.
• Review and follow up on construction drawings, equipment layouts, electrical installations, cabling.
• Follow up on quotations, construction schedules, material preparation, site construction, and installation.
• Monitor construction activities for quality, schedule, safety, and technical compliance.
• Travel throughout Mexico and perform frequent on-site visits and fieldwork.

In BYD Mexico is looking for a Flash Charging Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the deployment of BYD Flash Charging stations across Mexico.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering professional with strong field execution capabilities, excellent contractor coordination skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the infrastructure construction and equipment installation of BYD Flash Charging stations throughout Mexico.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate: Site conditions, Electrical capacity, Civil works requirements, Equipment installation requirements, Potential technical risks.
• Coordinate project execution with design companies, EPC contractors, construction companies, dealers, site owners, and suppliers.
• Review and follow up on: Construction drawings, Equipment layouts, Electrical installations, Cabling.
• Follow up on quotations, construction schedules, material preparation, site construction, and installation.
• Monitor construction activities and ensure compliance with established quality, schedule, safety, and technical requirements.
• Travel throughout Mexico and perform frequent on-site visits and fieldwork as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, Or a related engineering field
• Professional Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in Construction, - EV Electrical Installation, Project Management
• Field Engineering, Infrastructure Projects
• Experience with EV charging stations, electrical infrastructure, industrial equipment, new energy, or automotive projects is preferred.
• Experience with EPC projects, contractor management, power distribution, or electrical installations is a strong advantage.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, engineering plans, and construction documentation.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software, Ability to use Excel for:
• Construction progress tracking, Cost tracking, Issue management, Project reporting
• Strong field execution and project delivery capabilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout Mexico.

Language

• English: Fluent / Professional working proficiency, Able to communicate with the global team
