Job summary

XPENG seeks an experienced strategic procurement professional in Mexico City to lead indirect procurement across Mexico and LatAm. You will manage sourcing, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations while ensuring strict compliance with global policies and local regulations.

You will partner with local stakeholders, regional teams, and the global HQ, becoming a super-user of our procurement and ERP systems to safeguard data integrity and process adherence.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in indirect procurement.
• Experience with Mexico market; LatAm exposure preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English (business proficiency).
• Experience with multinational companies and cross-border stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of Mandarin is a plus for global HQ communication.

Job description

• Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute regional procurement strategies for all indirect procurement services across Mexico (and LatAm region as applicable).
• Supplier & Stakeholder Management: Lead end-to-end sourcing, supplier evaluation, contract negotiation (SLA, pricing), and ongoing relationship management. Collaborate closely with Mexico local stakeholders, regional teams, and global HQ.
• Compliance & Process Adherence: Ensure all procurement activities strictly adhere to Xpeng's global policies, internal control systems, and Mexico local regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• System & Operational Integration: Rapidly learn and become a super-user of Xpeng's designated procurement and ERP systems, ensuring all processes are correctly followed and data integrity is maintained.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5–7 years of progressive experience in indirect procurement or administration services procurement, with proven exposure to Mexico market (LatAm exposure preferred)
• Mandatory: Fluency in Spanish and English (business proficiency)
• Strongly Preferred: Experience working with multinational companies and managing cross-border stakeholders (e.g., US/LatAm/Global HQ)
• A Significant Plus: Working knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) to facilitate seamless communication with global HQ
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and strictly following corporate procurement systems and processes
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks and risk management within a multinational context, including anti-bribery/anti-corruption and local contracting practices
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
