Black & White Engineering in Manila is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer to join a growing multi-disciplinary design team. You will develop designs, calculations, and technical documents under senior guidance, contributing to international projects and standards.

The role offers exposure to global clients, advanced design practices, and opportunities to progress towards Chartered Engineer status while working with leading engineers across our studios.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSc/BEng or equivalent).
• 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
• Working towards MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng).
• Knowledge of hot and cold-water systems, sanitary plumbing, surface water drainage, fire protection systems, and gas systems.
• Familiar with IPC, UPC, ASPE, NFPA, EN Codes, and ASHRAE.
• Familiar with FM Global and VdS insurer requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel).
• Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software.
• Basic working knowledge of Revit and CAD.
• Strong organisational skills; prioritising workload and meeting deadlines.

Responsabilidades

• Produce drawings, calculations, reports and other deliverables within schedules.
• Prepare mark-ups for CAD and Revit teams.

• Research trends in public health and fire protection systems.
• Support code compliance with local regulations across countries.
• Attend technical meetings and contribute to project discussions.
• Assist in coordinating and resolving technical issues during design.

We are looking for a Hydraulics Engineer to join our growing team in Manila. In this role, you will support the development of designs, calculations, reports, and technical documents under the guidance of senior engineers, while working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary design team.

Responsibilities

• Develop designs, calculations, reports, and technical documents in line with project requirements.
• Check drawings, calculations, and documents for consistency and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Produce drawings, calculations, reports, and other project deliverables, ensuring they are completed within agreed schedules.
• Prepare mark‑ups for the CAD and Revit teams.
• Support the delivery of small projects and assigned project tasks.
• Conduct research on the latest trends and developments in public health and fire protection systems.
• Research and support code compliance with local regulations across different countries.
• Attend technical meetings and contribute to project discussions.
• Assist in coordinating and resolving technical issues during the design stage of projects.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng or equivalent) in an appropriate engineering discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
• Working towards MCIBSE/MIEE or equivalent is an advantage.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of hot and cold-water systems, sanitary plumbing, surface water drainage, fire protection systems, and gas systems.
• Knowledge of international design practices and standards, including IPC, UPC, ASPE, NFPA, EN Codes, and ASHRAE.
• Knowledge of local regulations across European and Middle Eastern countries, as well as insurer requirements such as FM Global and VdS, is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.

• Basic working knowledge of Revit and CAD.
