About the role
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst (CPA) to join our accounting team. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting across the organization. As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and analysing financial statements whilst maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position is integral to the finance function, supporting management decision‑making through reliable financial data and insightful reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accuracy of financial records
- Analyse financial transactions, balance sheet accounts, and profit and loss items to support the completion of financial reports
- Document accounting adjustments and ensure appropriate supporting documentation is maintained for audit purposes
- Coordinate with various departments to gather financial information and ensure timely completion of reporting deadlines
- Support the external audit process by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulations, implementing necessary updates to financial reporting processes
- Identify process improvements and recommend enhancements to financial reporting procedures and internal controls
- Assist with budget variance analysis and provide commentary on significant financial variances
What we're looking for
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential with an active license or recent qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and financial data
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies
- Solid understanding of the accounting cycle, balance sheet accounts, and financial statement preparation
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with external audit processes and audit coordination
- Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships across departments
- Preferred: Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as SAP or Oracle
- Preferred: Knowledge of tax accounting and regulatory compliance requirements in the Philippines
