About the role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team as a Senior Accounting Manager / Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, maintaining full accounting records, managing tax compliance (primarily with the BIR), and leading a small team of two accounting staff members.
Key responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact and work closely with external auditors to facilitate year-end financial audits and annual tax compliance
Prepare and provide all necessary schedules, supporting documentation, and financial disclosures required by external auditors in a timely manner
Ensure seamless coordination between the internal accounting team and external auditors to meet all statutory reporting deadlines (e.g., BIR annual income tax return submission, SEC filings)
Lead and manage all tax filings, compliance, and assessments with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR)
Ensure full compliance with Philippine tax regulations, including Income Tax, VAT, Withholding Taxes, and Annual Returns
Serve as the primary point of contact for BIR audits, inquiries, and regulatory submissions
Oversee and maintain the company's full set of accounting books and financial records
Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Directly manage, mentor, and supervise a team of two (2) junior/general accounting staff
Coordinate with SEC, Local Government Units (LGU), and other relevant government agencies
About you
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or Finance
Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with demonstrated experience in tax handling and BIR processes
Proven track record of managing external audit processes and completing annual tax filings in the Philippines
Prior supervisory or team lead experience managing staff
In-depth knowledge of Philippine Tax Code, BIR rules, standard accounting practices (PFRS/PERS), and local government compliance
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar) and MS Excel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills with high ethical standards
