Job summary

First Balfour, Inc. in the Manila area seeks a senior accountant to oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under PFRS, manage reconciliations, and provide management reporting.

The ideal candidate has a CPA (preferred), 7+ years in accounting and tax, strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, and proficiency in SAP or similar ERP; willingness to be based in Sucat, Parañaque City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, and Philippine taxation.
• Strong experience in preparing financial statements under PFRS.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation (corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, local taxes).
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing.
• Experience coordinating with external auditors.
• Big Four experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under PFRS.
• Review reconciliations and journal entries for accuracy.
• Analyze results and report variances to management.
• Coordinate tax audits and regulatory information requests.
• Serve as primary contact for external audits.

• At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, financial reporting, and Philippine taxation

• Strong experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)

• Strong knowledge of Philippine taxation, including corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes, local business taxes, and tax compliance

• Experience in month-end and year-end closing processes

• Experience coordinating with external auditors and addressing tax and statutory audit requirements

• Experience with any of the Big Four auditing firms is an advantage

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or similar accounting software

• Willing to be assigned in Sucat, Parañaque City
  

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)

• Review account reconciliations and journal entries to ensure completeness and accuracy

• Analyze financial results and identify significant variances and trends for management reporting

• Coordinate tax audits, assessments, and information requests from regulatory authorities

• Serve as the primary coordinator for external financial statement audits and tax audits
