Job summary

Viventis Search Asia seeks a Senior Finance Manager to oversee financial operations for a growing restaurant group in the Philippines. You will direct financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control across multiple brands, guiding strategic management decisions and improving profitability.

You will lead a team, ensure compliance with PAS and local tax regulations, and partner with operations to optimize working capital and KPI-driven performance.

Qualifications

• CPA license and Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling proficiency essential.
• Proficient in ERP/Financial Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company and restaurant brands.

Position Summary The Senior Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of our restaurant business, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budget management, and compliance with Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS) and tax regulations. This role provides strategic financial oversight across multiple restaurant brands, supporting management decision-making and driving profitability through effective financial planning, analysis, and cost control.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the company and its restaurant brands.
• Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with accounting standards and local tax laws.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Conduct variance analysis between actual results and budgets, identifying key trends and deviations.
• Provide insightful financial analysis to management to support strategic decisions.

2. Budgeting & Forecasting

• Assist in preparing the annual budget and financial forecasts for the company and individual restaurants.
• Monitor performance against budget and recommend cost optimization or revenue growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with restaurant operations to update forecasts based on business changes.
• 3. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
• Oversee cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations while maximizing returns on surplus funds.
• Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory to optimize working capital.
• Review and approve daily cash movements and bank reconciliations.

4. Compliance & Internal Controls

• Ensure compliance with Philippine financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory requirements.
• Manage internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and coordination.
• Strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial mismanagement.
• Stay current with changes in financial regulations and accounting standards.

5. Cost Management & Profitability

• Analyze restaurant cost structures (COGS, labor, overheads) to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with operations to develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for profitability improvement.
• Implement financial strategies to optimize resource allocation across departments and outlets.

6. Team Management & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to enhance skills and performance.
• Establish and enforce finance-related policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Ensure team proficiency in financial tools, ERP systems, and reporting processes.
• 7. Strategic Business Support
• Provide financial insights to support executive decisions on new restaurant openings, expansions, and operational improvements.
• Evaluate investment opportunities, capital expenditures, and strategic initiatives.
• Participate in financial decision-making for marketing, pricing, and promotions to maximize profitability.

Qualifications

• CPA license preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
• Strong experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
