MicroSourcing is hiring a Financial Accountant for a hybrid role in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City. You will manage month-end close, GL reconciliations, tax compliance for BAS/GST and FBT, and fixed asset accounting. The position requires 4+ years in financial reporting and CA ANZ/CPA Australia qualification.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of financial reporting and accounting experience in corporate or professional services.
• Formal accounting accreditation with CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and Australian statutory accounting principles.

Responsabilités

• Execute month-end close procedures including general ledger journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany allocations.
• Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Ensure group and subsidiary compliance with BAS/GST, FBT, and ABS lodgments.
• Maintain cloud-based fixed asset register, tracking additions, disposals, depreciation, and tax treatments.
• Coordinate internal/external audits and prepare schedules and workpapers.
• Suggest and implement controls improvements and automation to enhance month-end processes.

Your Role

As a Financial Accountant, you will:

• Month-End Financial Close: Execute month-end closing procedures, including processing general ledger journals, accruals, prepayments, and intercompany allocations.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations, proactively investigating and resolving aged reconciling items and balance variances.
• Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure group and subsidiary compliance with statutory reporting obligations, including Business Activity Statements (BAS/GST), Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) transaction analysis, and Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) lodgments.
• Fixed Asset Register Management: Maintain and reconcile the cloud-based tax and accounting fixed asset register, tracking additions, disposals, depreciation schedules, and tax asset treatments.
• Audit & Stakeholder Support: Facilitate interim and year-end external/internal audit requests, preparing audit schedules, technical accounting workpapers, and responding to auditor queries.
• Process Improvement & Systems Governance: Recommend and implement enhancements to financial control frameworks, reporting systems, and automation tools to optimize month-end workflows.

What You Need

Non-negotiables

• Financial Reporting Experience: Minimum of 4 years of financial reporting and accounting experience within a corporate or professional services environment.
• Professional Accounting Accreditation: Formal membership or qualification with recognized accounting bodies (CA ANZ, CPA Australia, or equivalent international professional bodies).
• IFRS & Technical Accounting Proficiency: Solid working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Australian statutory accounting principles.
• Balance Sheet Management & General Ledger Reconciliations: Demonstrated capability in executing month-end close cycles, complex ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Tax Compliance Literacy: Practical experience handling Australian indirect tax compliance, including GST returns and transactional analysis for FBT.

Preferred Skills/expertise

• Practical experience utilizing enterprise general ledger applications, particularly JD Edwards.
• Experience operating within ASX-listed corporate structures, salary packaging, or financial services groups.
• Working knowledge of cloud-based asset management software platforms.
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities for financial modeling, balance sheet analytics, and variance investigation.
