Job summary

MicroSourcing in Parañaque City is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, cash reporting, payroll administration, and related processes. This role will maintain accurate records, perform reconciliations, support internal controls, and improve accounting processes.

The Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist with budgeting, and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience reviewing expense reports and supporting documentation preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting systems or ERP platforms.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Sage is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Accounting Operations & AP: Process vendor invoices and maintain vendor records.
• Resolve invoice questions and discrepancies and perform reconciliations.
• Maintain prepaid schedules and balance sheet reconciliations; support GL activities.
• Monitor corporate credit card activity and ensure proper documentation.
• Audit employee expense reports for compliance with policies.
• Month-End Close & Reporting: Support monthly close activities and deadlines; prepare entries and reconciliations.
• Cash Reporting: Maintain weekly cash reporting and update cash flow inputs.
• Payroll Support: assist biweekly payroll processing and payroll reconciliations.
• Budget & Process Improvement: Support budgeting/forecasting and SOP maintenance.

Your role:

The Senior Accountant will support accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, cash reporting, budgeting support, payroll administration, and finance processes. This role will maintain accurate financial records, perform reconciliations, support internal controls, and improve accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting Operations & AP (35%)

• Process vendor invoices and maintain vendor records.

• Resolve invoice questions and discrepancies.

• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Maintain prepaid schedules and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Support general ledger activities and accounting processes.

• Monitor corporate credit card activity and ensure transactions are properly documented and coded.

• Audit employee expense reports for compliance with company policies and required support.

Month-End Close & Reporting Support (25%)

• Support monthly close activities and deadlines.

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations.

• Support accrual accounting activities.

• Assist with monthly financial reporting.

• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Cash Reporting Support (15%)

• Maintain weekly cash reporting.

• Update cash flow forecast inputs.

• Track upcoming payroll, vendor payments, taxes, and recurring expenses.

• Provide reporting to support Finance decision-making.

Payroll Support (10%)

• Support biweekly payroll processing.

• Coordinate payroll inputs, including employee changes, bonuses, deductions, and reimbursements.

• Coordinate with Paychex and assist with payroll-related questions.

• Support payroll reconciliations and maintain payroll documentation.

Budget & Process Improvement Support (15%)

• Support annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Prepare budget-to-actual reporting.

• Maintain finance SOPs and documentation.

• Support accounting system improvements and future ERP transitions.

• Other duties as assigned.
