Job summary

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a Finance Transformation & Operational Excellence Sr. Consultant to drive initiatives within the Operational Excellence team.

You will evaluate performance, guide project delivery, and partner with offshore teams to ensure value delivery across the function. The role requires 6–7 years leading process improvements and at least 3 years in project management, with Nice to Have experience in cross-functional, multi-site transformations and management consulting.

Qualifications

• 6–7 years of management experience leading process & performance improvement projects in finance, investments, actuarial, or retirement operations
• At least 3 years of project management experience
• Nice to have: management consulting experience
• Nice to have: experience leading cross-functional, multi-site transformation initiatives

Responsibilities

• Own & drive pipeline of Transformation & Operational Excellence initiatives and programs within the assigned function(s)
• Ensure all projects and services delivered by the squad are high quality, with the expected benefits, on time and within budget
• Lead medium-sized, medium-risk transformation and/or process and performance improvement initiatives
• Project or Program Manager for complex, high-risk, organization-wide initiatives
• Provide tactical direction & guidance to the project delivery team
• Stakeholder management alignment with function and project stakeholders
• Build strong relationships with offshore business partners
• Collaborate with other GBS support functions to deliver successful business transformation initiatives
• Negotiate and manage conflicts within the project team to address issues
