Job summary

Atome Financial in the Philippines region is seeking a senior finance professional to support the country’s financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You will report to the Country Controller and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial processes and reporting.

The role covers month-end closing, annual budget processes, and coordinating with external auditors, banks, and authorities to ensure compliant financial statements. Strong accounting systems and Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in financial reporting, budgeting and compliance.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards and regulations.
• Experience in month-end closing, audits, and financial analysis.
• Proficient in accounting systems and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

About the role

This role supports the finance team with day-to-day operations, internal reporting, external engagement, and compliance activities. You will report to the Country Controller and play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial processes and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team for queries and escalation related to Finance
• Conduct monthly closing activities including manual journal entries preparation, revenue reconciliation, and bank reconciliation
• Conduct weekly review of expenses and coordinate with respective departments for savings and compliance opportunities
• Prepare and present month-end package to the CFO
• Prepare and manage annual forecast and budget
• Manage external relationships related to Finance (auditors, merchants, suppliers, banks, and government authorities)
• Prepare audit package and draft Financial Statements for review of management and auditors
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of all financial reports in adherence with relevant Accounting Standards
• Liaise with Auditors for submission and completion of audited Financial Statements
• Ensure process and accounting documentation are updated and implement controls to ensure integrity of finance processes

About you

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance
• Certified Public Accountant (advantage)
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and regulatory requirements
• Experience in month-end closing, audit preparation, and financial analysis
• Proficient in using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
