The Role

The Finance Manager is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company's financial operations, encompassing transaction processing, reconciliations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit readiness. The role ensures that financial records are properly maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements set by the BIR, SEC, and DOLE, while strengthening internal controls to safeguard company assets. The Finance Manager works closely with internal departments and external partners — including auditors and tax consultants — to support sound financial decision-making, and provides leadership and oversight to finance staff to ensure the function operates accurately, compliantly, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Transactions & Records Management

• Oversee the accurate and timely processing of journal entries and accounting transactions
• Review and approve invoices, receipts, and other financial documents prior to posting
• Ensure the integrity and proper maintenance of financial records within the accounting system
• Establish and enforce documentation and filing standards for all financial transactions
• Lead the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Prepare and finalize financial statements and supporting schedules for management review
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data used in management reporting
• Present financial results and key variances to management as needed
• Oversee reconciliation of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Monitor company expenses against approved budgets and flag significant variances
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating material issues to senior management

4. Tax Compliance & Documentation

• Oversee the preparation and timely filing of tax requirements, including DST, withholding tax, percentage tax, and income tax returns
• Ensure completeness, accuracy, and proper organization of all tax-related documentation
• Maintain the company's audit readiness for BIR examinations and ensure compliance with tax regulations

5. Audit & Regulatory Compliance

• Serve as primary point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation and reports are complete and audit-ready
• Maintain organized records in compliance with SEC, BIR, and DOLE requirements
• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory adherence

6. Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments and supplier invoices
• Oversee billing and collections processes, ensuring accurate tracking of outstanding receivables
• Review aging reports and lead collection follow-ups on overdue accounts

7. Coordination & Communication

• Partner with internal departments (Risk, Credit, Operations) to align on financial data requirements and reporting needs
• Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies
• Communicate finance-related risks, issues, and updates to management in a clear and timely manner

8. Financial Data Integrity & System Oversight

• Review accounting entries and oversee preparation of the monthly trial balance
• Oversee service invoice preparation, tracking, and reconciliation processes
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data across all financial systems

9. Team Leadership & Process Improvement

• Supervise and provide guidance to finance staff, ensuring adherence to policies and deadlines
• Drive process improvements to strengthen financial controls and operational efficiency
• Perform other finance-related duties as required by senior management
