Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive General Ledger Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of accounting principles and thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused BPO environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, amortizations, and adjustments
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts such as payroll liabilities, vendor payables, and intercompany transactions
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
• Analyze financial transactions and recommend corrections or improvements
• Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation
• Ensure compliance with Philippine tax regulations and applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP)
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial data aligns with operational activities
• Monitor budget variances and assist in financial forecasting

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification is an advantage
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a BPO or shared services environment
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, D365) and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Experience working with multinational clients or handling foreign currency transactions is a plus
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
