Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or accountancy.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting and supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Experience with Profit and Loss analysis, GAAP/IFRS knowledge.
• Experience with ERP and inventory/tracking software.

Core Responsibilities

• Financial Operations and Reporting


• Manage daily transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.


• Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.


• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes to meet strict deadlines.


• Monitor cash flow and prepare budget reports and revenue forecasts.


• Ledger management: Maintain the general ledger and oversee AP and AR


• Budgeting & Analysis


• Variance analysis: Compare actual expenditures against budgets and historical trends.


• Forecasting support: Provide data for financial planning and revenue forecasting.


• Compliance and Auditing


• Ensure all financial practices comply with GAAP, IFRS, or local tax and financial laws.


• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audit cycles.


• Establish and enforce internal financial controls to prevent errors and fraud.


• Team Leadership and Supervision / Management


• Supervise, train, and mentor junior accountants and staff.


• Assign daily tasks and monitor performance to achieve department goals.


• Provide technical guidance on complex accounting treatments and entries.

Standard Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or accountancy.


• Experience: 5 to 8 years of relevant accounting and supervisory/managerial work.


• Technical skills: Strong knowledge of general ledger, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Knowledgeable in Profit and Loss Analysis, CREATE Laws, PEZA/BOC rules, Government Compliance


• Software skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP, QAD or accounting software for inventory/tracking) :
