Job summary

Evident Europe GmbH is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain and repair high-end microscopy systems at customer sites in Spain and Portugal. You will ensure optimal performance, provide proactive support, and collaborate with R&D and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or physics.
• 2–5+ years in field service with microscopy or analytical instruments.
• Fluent Spanish and good English; Portuguese a plus.
• Willing to travel 70–80% and work at customer sites.
• Able to read schematics and technical manuals; troubleshoot hardware/software.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission advanced microscopy systems at customer sites
• Perform preventive maintenance and system calibrations
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and software issues
• Troubleshoot complex failures and implement corrective actions
• Execute upgrades and modifications to existing systems
• Provide technical support and training to customers
• Act as primary technical contact for assigned accounts
• Ensure customer satisfaction through professional service
