Role Description

The Field Sales Officer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Manila. This role involves identifying and engaging MSME entrepreneurs in target areas, presenting Datung's lending solutions, and guiding potential clients through the onboarding and application process. The Field Sales Officer will conduct regular in-person visits, build and maintain strong community relationships, and ensure a high-quality customer experience from first contact through post-disbursement support. Daily responsibilities include meeting sales targets, gathering market feedback, coordinating with internal credit and operations teams, and accurately documenting client interactions and outcomes. The role also requires participating in local events and outreach activities to promote Datung's services and expand its customer network.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Sales skills, including lead generation, prospecting, and closing opportunities in field-based environments.
• Candidates should possess Client Relations and Business Relationship Management skills to build trust, nurture long-term partnerships, and support community-based lending initiatives.
• Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to provide responsive support, handle inquiries and issues professionally, and ensure a positive borrower experience.
• Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to present complex financial concepts in simple, accessible language.
• Relevant experience in field sales, microfinance, banking, or fintech, preferably working with MSMEs or underserved communities, is highly beneficial.
• Strong local market knowledge in Manila and surrounding areas, with the ability to travel frequently within assigned territories.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet targets, and operate with integrity in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
• Basic proficiency with digital tools (smartphone apps, CRM systems, and productivity software); familiarity with AI-driven or data-based products is an advantage.
• A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred but equivalent practical experience in field sales will be considered.
