Job summary

WFP - World Food Programme in Cotabato, Philippines is seeking an Engineer on a Special Service Agreement to lead construction supervision and engineering design for multiple facilities. The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree in a related field, with 3–5 years of relevant experience, and is proficient in AutoCAD (2D) and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Professional accreditation as PE/Chartered Engineer desirable.
• Fluency in English and Filipino required.
• Experience in humanitarian, development, or emergency contexts preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and MS Office required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site assessments and prepare back-to-office reports.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and work methodologies.
• Oversee on-site implementation per WFP specifications and standards.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and design consultants.
• Review designs, shop drawings, and test results for compliance.
• Maintain site records, progress reports, and meeting minutes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and support handover of completed works.
