Job summary

World Food Programme in Cotabato, Philippines, seeks an Engineer to provide construction and engineering expertise for the Philippines Country Office engineering program. The role requires field presence, site supervision, and adherence to international construction standards.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Officer, this SSA position supports refurbishment, multi-agency depots, school kitchens, and KITB facilities, with strong contractor liaison and quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years postgraduate experience in civil engineering, construction supervision, infrastructure development, or related engineering fields for holders of an advanced university degree.
• Minimum of five years of relevant professional experience for holders of a first university degree.
• Experience in construction supervision, contract management, infrastructure rehabilitation, or engineering project management is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed site assessments and prepare back-to-office reports with findings and follow-up actions.
• Develop project plans, implementation schedules, and work methodologies for delivery.
• Oversee on-site implementation per WFP specifications and relevant standards.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and design consultants.
• Supervise contractor activities ensuring safety, quality, and compliance.
