Job summary

World Food Programme is seeking an Engineer to support infrastructure and construction initiatives in Manila. The role requires leading engineering design, planning, and site supervision across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with WFP standards and international guidelines.

The incumbent will coordinate with contractors, consultants, and government counterparts, provide technical guidance, and manage project documentation, testing, and handover activities as required.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional engineering accreditation desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments and prepare back-to-office reports.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and methodologies.
• Oversee on-site project implementation per specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to contractors and designers.
• Review designs, shop drawings, and material approvals.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and prepare reports.
