Job summary

Coherent Corp. Philippines is seeking a Facilities Technician in Laguna to operate, install, repair and maintain plant equipment, ensuring continuous utilities such as lights, power, air conditioning, compressed air, nitrogen and forming gas.

The role is 100% on-site in a semiconductor manufacturing setting. Required are a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related Technology and 2–3 years of facilities technician experience in semiconductors or electronics.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Technology.
• 2-3 years semiconductor or electronics facilities technician experience.
• Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, repair and maintain plant equipment to ensure continuous utility supply.
• Maintain utilities such as lights, power, air conditioning, compressed air, nitrogen, forming gas, and communications.
• Follow safety and process standards in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Job description

• Responsible for operating, installation, repair and maintenance work on plant equipment/facilities to ensure continuous and sufficient supply of basic utilities such as lights, power, air-condition, compressed, nitrogen, forming gas, communication and others.

Education & Experience

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Technology.


• 2-3 years semiconductors or electronics Facilities technician experience.

Skills

• Experience in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.


• Basic knowledge of Wastewater Treatment and Reverse Osmosis DI water.


• Basic understanding safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.


• Basic knowledge of PLC, motor control, pumps, air conditioning, generator sets, UPS, and electronics.


• Basic knowledge and experience on CCTV and Security Alarm Systems.


• Hands-on attitude, initiative and resourcefulness, a must.
