Job summary

Coherent Corp. Philippines in Laguna (Calamba) is seeking an Accounting Analyst to support inventory management, costing, and month-end close. You will prepare financial records, analyze variances, and assist with audits in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires a bachelor's in Accountancy or Finance, CPA preferred, 3+ years of related experience, and strong MS Office and ERP/Oracle skills. This is an onsite opportunity with growth potential within the finance team.

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant (preferred).
• At least 3 years work experience in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy and conformance.

• Responsible for product costing, inventory valuation and COGS variance analysis.
• Assist in preparing financial records for annual audits.
• Assist in preparing forecasts and capitalization of capital projects.
• Record, report and close fixed assets and perform reconciliations.

Job Description:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Assist with the month-end process, complete management reporting and analysis, including monthly financials, KPIs, project reporting, and other ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
• Responsible for product costing, inventory valuation and preparation of production and month-end reports. Analyst will also assist in COGS variance analysis as well as investigation of Inventory variances.
• Assist in preparing the financial records for the annual audit.
• Assist in preparing forecast
• Responsible for the recording, accounting, reporting and timely capitalization of capital projects
• Responsible for completeness and accuracy of fixed assets sub-ledger and month-end closing activities such as account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments
• Perform monthly reconciliation of Inventory accounts and ensure that any variance between recorded inventory and physical count is researched and resolved
• Facilitate monthly/Annual Inventory count
• Ad Hoc duties as required

Education & Experience

• Graduate of a bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance or equivalent;
• Certified Public Accountant (preferred)
• At least 3-year work experience in related field is required;
• A strong background in Inventory Management and Costing is an advantage

Skills

• Oracle and ERP experience a plus
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
• Highly proficient in MS Office applications
