Job summary

Coherent Corp. Philippines is seeking a Facilities Technician to operate, install, repair and maintain plant equipment to ensure continuous utilities supply.

The role requires knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, safety practices, and hands-on problem solving. The successful candidate will have a BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with 2–3 years of relevant experience in semiconductor or electronics facilities, including PLCs, HVAC, and CCTV systems.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2-3 years facilities tech experience in semiconductors or electronics.
• Experience with plant utilities and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, repair and maintain plant equipment and facilities.
• Ensure continuous and sufficient supply of utilities (lights, power, AC, compressed gases, communications).

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for operating, installation, repair and maintenance work on plant equipment/facilities to ensure continuous and sufficient supply of basic utilities such as lights, power, air-condition, compressed, nitrogen, forming gas, communication and others.

Education & Experience

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Technology.
• 2-3 years semiconductors or electronics Facilities technician experience.

Skills

• Experience in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of Wastewater Treatment and Reverse Osmosis DI water.
• Basic understanding safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, motor control, pumps, air conditioning, generator sets, UPS, and electronics.
• Basic knowledge and experience on CCTV and Security Alarm Systems.
• Hands-on attitude, initiative and resourcefulness, a must.
