Job summary

Coherent Corp. in the Philippines (Laguna/Calamba) seeks a Facilities Technician to operate, install, repair and maintain plant equipment ensuring continuous utilities supply including lights, power, air conditioning, compressed air, and nitrogen.

The role requires 2–3 years in semiconductors or electronics facilities, with basic safety and PLC knowledge. The successful candidate will join a 100% onsite operation, work with a committed team and contribute to a stable, compliant manufacturing

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Technology required.
• 2–3 years semiconductors or electronics facilities technician experience.
• Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment and RO DI water.
• Understanding safety engineering for electrical, mechanical, chemical and physical hazards.
• Knowledge of PLC, motor control, pumps, air conditioning, generator sets and UPS.
• Familiarity with CCTV and security alarm systems.
• Hands-on attitude, initiative and resourcefulness.

Responsibilities

• Operate, install, repair and maintain plant equipment/facilities to ensure continuous and sufficient supply of basic utilities.
• Follow safety, maintenance and environmental procedures in daily work.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and optimize utility reliability.

Education & Experience

• BS in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Mechanical Technology.
• 2-3 years semiconductors or electronics Facilities technician experience.

Skills

• Experience in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of Wastewater Treatment and Reverse Osmosis DI water.
• Basic understanding safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, motor control, pumps, air conditioning, generator sets, UPS, and electronics.
• Basic knowledge and experience on CCTV and Security Alarm Systems.
• Hands-on attitude, initiative and resourcefulness, a must.
