Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Technology or related technical course.
• Licensed electrician is an advantage.
• 2+ years facilities maintenance experience in manufacturing or electronics environment.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and utility systems.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC systems, air handling units (AHUs), exhaust systems, and ventilation equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and permit requirements.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and work orders using the company's maintenance management system.
• Support energy conservation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain good housekeeping in utility rooms, equipment areas, and workspaces.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Facilities Supervisor or Facilities Manager.

Education & Experience

• Graduate of Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical course. A licensed electrician is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or semiconductor/electronics environment.
• Leadership capabilities to manage a virtual team or Knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, compressed air, chilled water, process cooling water, generators, UPS, and fire protection systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and troubleshooting techniques.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties when required.
  
• Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving
  
• Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp.
