Job summary

GRANDSUN ADVANCED ELECTRONICS (PHILIPPINES) CO. INC. in Batangas seeks a Facilities Engineer to lead maintenance across plant equipment including HVAC, transformers, and air compressors.

You will develop the annual PM plan, supervise the facilities crew, monitor uptime, and drive root-cause analysis while ensuring PEZA/DOLE-OSH compliance and safety programs. Strong budgeting and contractor-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; licensed ME/EE an advantage.
• 5-7 years facilities/plant maintenance with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, air compressors, and industrial utilities.
• Familiarity with PEC, Fire Code, PEZA/DOLE-OSH regulations.
• Experience managing budgets, contractors, and CMMS/PM tracking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual PM plan and budget for all facilities equipment.
• Supervise and schedule the Facilities team to execute PM and CM activities.
• Monitor uptime/downtime and drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with PEZA, DOLE-OSH, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with EHS/Corporate Compliance on safety programs and permits-to-work.
• Manage facilities spare parts inventory, critical spares list, and procurement requisitions.
• Evaluate, select, and manage third-party contractors and service providers.
• Monitor utility consumption and drive energy-efficiency initiatives.
• Prepare facilities CAPEX proposals and cost justifications.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and PM schedules.
• Prepare and present facilities performance reports to Management.
• Lead emergency response for facilities-related incidents.

Job description

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Licensed ME/EE an advantage).

• Minimum 5-7 years of facilities/plant maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably in an electronics manufacturing or PEZA-registered environment.

• Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution (transformers, switchgear, panel boards), air compressor systems, and industrial utilities.

• Familiarity with the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC), Fire Code, and PEZA/DOLE-OSH regulations.

• Experience managing maintenance budgets, contractor management, and CMMS/PM tracking systems.

• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint; CMMS software experience an advantage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) Plan and budget for all facilities equipment (aircon units, transformers, panel boards/switchgear, air compressors, generator sets, STP/water systems, fire protection systems).

• Supervise and schedule the Facilities team (Engineer, Sr. Technician, Technician) to execute PM and corrective maintenance (CM) activities.

• Monitor equipment uptime/downtime and drive root -cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring breakdowns.

• Ensure compliance with PEZA, DOLE-OSH, and other regulatory requirements pertaining to facilities and utilities (e.g., boiler/pressure vessel permits, electrical safety, fire safety).

• Coordinate with EHS/Corporate Compliance on safety programs, incident investigation, and permits-to-work for hazardous facilities tasks (electrical LOTO, confined space, hot works).

• Manage facilities spare parts inventory, critical spares list, and procurement requisitions.

• Evaluate, select, and manage third-party contractors and service providers (aircon servicing, transformer testing, calibration, waste hauling).

• Monitor utility consumption (power, water, compressed air) and drive energy-efficiency initiatives.

• Prepare facilities CAPEX proposals and cost justifications for equipment replacement/upgrades.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, PM schedules, and equipment history files (manual and/or CMMS).

• Prepare and present facilities performance reports (PM compliance, downtime, cost) to Management.

• Lead emergency response for facilities-related incidents (power interruption, transformer failure, fire, flooding).
