Job summary

Nikkoshi Philippines Corporation seeks a facilities/maintenance supervisor to oversee repairs, maintenance, and preventive programs for buildings, machineries, and equipment. You will prioritize safety-related repairs and those affecting production, and coordinate with suppliers and the Procurement Department to supply materials.

You will train new employees on safety programs, conduct incident investigations, review procedures, monitor electricity and water systems, assist ISO compliance,

Responsibilities

• Oversee repairs and maintenance of buildings, machineries & equipment, prioritizing safety-related repairs and those impacting production.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs to minimize unscheduled repairs; establish schedules, procedures, and technical info; review environmental impacts and risk assessments of machines.
• Update/review document procedures as needed.
• Assist Finance in tagging new facilities and equipment for registration.
• Coordinate with suppliers/contractors and Procurement on material purchases for installation/relayouts of new production lines.
• Supervise inventory and procurement of spare parts to minimize downtime and optimize investment; forecast facility needs.
• Attend meetings on building and facilities concerns, including production line improvements and layout changes.
• Assist General Affairs to improve sanitation and cleanliness of buildings and facilities.
• Support ISO department in monitoring electricity, water systems and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead preventive maintenance scheduling for machineries, equipment, and building rehabilitation.
• Facilitate training for new employees on safety programs.
• Conduct incident/accident investigations in coordination with the safety group.
• Support generation of regulatory reports and ensure compliance with the Building Code and Sanitary Code when executing projects.

Job description

1. Assists in overseeing repairs and maintenance of the building, machineries & equipment. Assigns job orders, ensuring that safety-related repairs and repairs affecting production are the highest priority. Assists in maintenance personnel with diagnosis and repairs, when necessary.

2. Assists in managing preventive maintenance programs ensuring unscheduled equipment repairs are minimized, establishing preventive maintenance schedule, operational procedure, technical information of the machine being controlled and ensuring that the schedule is adhered to. Review environmental aspect / impacts and risk assessment of the machine.

3. Updates / review document procedures whenever necessary.

4. Assists Finance Department in registration tagging of Facilities new machineries and equipment.

5. Coordinates to suppliers/contractors and Procurement Department relative to the purchase of material requirements of production use for installation / relayouts of new production line.

6. Supervises the acquisition of additional parts and ensures that spare parts inventory is maintained so that repairs can be completed in a timely manner and production downtime is minimized. In addition, ensures that inventories are controlled to have the least investment. Formulates forecast that requires facility needs.

7. Attend meeting related to building & facilities concerns such as improvement plans on production lines, installation and/or re-layout of processes.

8. Assists other Department such as the General Affairs for improving sanitation & cleanliness of the buildings and facilities.

9. Assists ISO Department in monitoring Electricity and Water system and other tasks that contributes to cost reductions program of the company.

10. Leads on Preventive Maintenance schedule of Machineries & Equipments as well as rehabilitation maintenance of the building.

11. Facilitates training for new employees on safety related program.

12. Conducts incident / accident investigation in the work place in coordination with safety group.

13. Supports the generation of reports required by regulatory bodies.

14. Ensures compliance to the Building Code of the Philippines and the Sanitary Code of the Philippines when doing building and facilities projects.
