Testech Inc. is seeking a facilities technician to perform routine inspections and monitor equipment and facility systems. You will record operating parameters, respond to customer issues promptly, and help troubleshoot to optimize operations and reduce costs.
The role includes maintaining housekeeping and 5S, handing over plant status to incoming technicians, and assisting with shutdown planning while following established procedures.
This role involves conducting routine inspections of equipment and facility systems, monitoring and recording operating parameters, and ensuring all systems are properly started, monitored, and shut off. You will maintain equipment-monitoring records, respond to customer issues promptly, perform troubleshooting, and recommend solutions for optimizing equipment operations and cost savings. The role includes maintaining housekeeping standards, handing over plant status to incoming shift technicians, responding to emergency response team issues, identifying spare parts and consumable materials, assisting with shutdown period planning, and implementing operations procedures and schedules.
Conduct routine inspection of equipment and facility systems
Monitor and record facilities equipment operating parameters
Suggest operations programs on all facility equipment and systems, including planning, scheduling, and preparation of Pre-Task Planning and Job Hazard Analysis
Check that all equipment and systems are properly started, monitored, and shut off
Ensure that all equipment-monitoring records are updated and properly kept
Attend to and rectify promptly all issues or complaints from customers
Perform equipment troubleshooting if needed
Recommend solutions to conditions affecting normal equipment operations, as well as improvements and optimizations
Suggest cost saving measures
Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S in area of responsibility
Graduate of any 2 years Technical Course or NC2, Engineering Technology or any related course
Preferably with at least 2-3 years experience in facilities or building maintenance
Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and carpentry is a plus
