Microtop Philippines, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and repair company facilities, utilities, and building systems to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient workplace that supports continuous manufacturing operations.
The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and coordination with contractors. A technical/vocational background with 1–2 years of related experience is preferred, with NC II certification as an advantage.
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of company facilities, equipment, utilities, and building systems to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient workplace that supports continuous manufacturing operations.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of building facilities, utilities, and equipment.
Conduct regular inspection of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, ventilation, and other facility systems.
Troubleshoot and repair facility-related issues to minimize operational downtime.
Monitor and maintain electrical systems, lighting, water supply, pumps, compressors, generators, and other utility equipment.
Perform basic electrical works, plumbing, carpentry, welding, fabrication, and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
Assist in the installation, relocation, modification, and improvement of facility equipment and systems.
Respond promptly to facility breakdowns and emergency maintenance concerns.
Maintain proper records of preventive maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and work orders.
Coordinate with contractors and service providers during repair, maintenance, and facility improvement activities.
Ensure that maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with company safety policies and applicable standards.
Assist in monitoring utility consumption and identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within assigned work areas.
Support facility-related projects, company activities, and other operational requirements.
Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Graduate of Technical/Vocational course, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Technology, Electronics, or related field.
With at least 1–2 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledgeable in basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general maintenance works.
Able to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
NC II certification related to Electrical, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, or other relevant technical certification is an advantage.
Willing to work on a shifting schedule, overtime, weekends, or holidays when required by operations.
Physically fit and capable of performing hands‑on maintenance work.
Safety‑conscious, responsible, and dependable.
Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
