MD Distripark Manila Inc. is seeking a resident Registered Mechanical Engineer to oversee mechanical, electrical, and building systems within the PEZA zone.
You will file permits, ensure compliance with the National Building Code, coordinate with zone officials, and perform preventive maintenance and supervision of maintenance staff. The role requires an active PRC license with CPD units and at least 2 years as Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor, with strong leadership and communication skills.
Serve as the company's resident Registered Mechanical Engineer under Sec. 34 of RA 8495, and maintain a valid PRC professional license and CPD units throughout employment.
Prepare, file, and track applications with the PEZA Office of the Building Official for Mechanical Permits, Permits to Operate (PTO), Electrical PTO, Certificates of Completion, and Occupancy Permits, including annual renewals.
Ensure compliance with the National Building Code (PD 1096) and its Mechanical Regulations as administered by PEZA within the zone.
Coordinate with the PEZA Zone Administrator, Environmental Safety Group, and Building Official during inspections, audits, and zone-wide programs, and close out findings within prescribed timelines.
Secure and maintain the Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (BFP), DENR permits and clearances, DOLE equipment certifications, and other statutory permits applicable to the facility.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve the annual Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for all mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
Supervise PM and corrective maintenance for material handling equipment: forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, etc,
Oversee maintenance of dock equipment — dock levelers and roll-up doors.
Manage maintenance and periodic inspection of racking systems, mezzanines, and storage structures, including damage tagging, load placarding, and repair or replacement of compromised components.
Maintain fire protection systems: sprinklers, fire pumps, jockey pumps, hydrants, standpipes, fire detection and alarm systems, and portable extinguishers.
Oversee standby generators, automatic transfer switches, fuel storage, air compressors and water pumps.
Conduct root cause analysis on recurring or critical equipment failures and implement countermeasures.
Supervise upkeep of the warehouse building envelope, roofing, flooring, drainage, perimeter fencing, parking, and grounds.
Manage janitorial, pest control, landscaping, waste hauling, and general housekeeping services.
Oversee minor works, fit-outs, renovations, and space reconfigurations, ensuring PEZA permits are secured before commencement.
Maintain as-built drawings, equipment manuals, warranty records, and the facility asset register.
Coordinate facility readiness for customer audits, client visits, and third-party certification audits.
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from a college or university recognized by the Commission on Higher Education.
Registered Mechanical Engineer (RME) with a valid and current PRC Professional Identification Card; must remain in good standing and compliant with CPD requirements for the entire term of employment.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as Facilities & Maintenance Supervisor
