Job summary

Job description

1. Promote a positive safety culture, adhering to all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures in alignment with North Ports values.

2. Ensure prompt and efficient communication, including responding to emails and calls, following up on all work requests. Prioritizing tasks based on the urgency and importance of the work is essential to maintaining operational efficiency and safety.

3. Oversees and maintains all North Ports facilities to the highest standards by responding to issues raised by various departments, prioritizing and resolving them according to urgency and importance.

4. Follow maintenance procedures, SAP Task lists and SOPs, ensuring implementation and continuous review and feedback for improvement is the quality of the maintenance plan

5. Monitor work and activities and ensure adequate spare parts, project materials and other inventory, placing orders when necessary.

6. Participate in the preparation of budgets, submit budget recommendations, monitor expenditures, prepare cost estimates, and submit reports and justifications.

7. Oversee and ensure Medium and low voltage infrastructure is safe and reliable, monitor power consumptions and distributions, providing reports and improvements to ensure the continuity of supply

8. Responsible for ensuring critical infrastructure, including FDAS, wind speed, terminal lighting, wet stand and fire alarms, all emergency and exit lighting, ensuring they are always operational.

9. Manage contractors, service providers and outsource activities ensuring the execution of contracts and quality of work are aligned.

10. Ensure maintenance logs and SAP Work Orders are accurate and closed within an acceptable period.

11. Lead, motivate and direct those under your supervision including team members, or supplemental labor, in line with objectives of the Engineering department's priorities and safety standards, ensuring allocation meet all safety and operational requirements.

11. Providing regular feedback and appraisals to team member on performance and department objectives.

12. Follows company management policies, procedures and code of conduct in the application of managing subordinates.

13. Ensure health and safety policies are always complied with, proactively review and assess risks across North Port.

14. Lead in the development of subordinates and their career plan development, including succession planning, gap analysis and mentoring.

15. Performs any other duties at similar level of skill and complexity that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
