Event Planning & Coordination
- Work with clients to understand event objectives, budget, and preferences.
- Research and recommend suitable venues, vendors, and suppliers (e.g., catering, entertainment, décor).
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists.
- Coordinate all aspects of the event, including logistics, design, and guest experience.
Budget Management
- Create and manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses stay within approved limits.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers for services and equipment.
Team Coordination & Supervision
- Collaborate with event staff, volunteers, and vendors to ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Assign and oversee responsibilities for event day personnel.
Marketing & Promotion
- Assist in promoting the event through social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels.
- Develop event invitations, programs, and materials, coordinating with designers and printers as needed.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in event planning (e.g., Certified Meeting Professional [CMP] or Certified Special Events Professional [CSEP]) can be an asset.
- 1-3 years of experience in event planning or coordination, or relevant experience in hospitality, marketing, or project management.
- Experience working with vendors, clients, and event staff to execute successful events.
- Previous experience with managing event budgets and negotiating vendor contracts is highly beneficial.
