Job summary

MMI in the Philippines seeks an Estimator / Cutting List Engineer to prepare cost estimates, material take-offs, and detailed cutting lists for aluminum, glass, window, and door projects. The role requires interpreting drawings and optimizing materials to reduce waste while controlling costs.

You will coordinate with design, procurement, production, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates, fabrication feasibility, and smooth project execution. 2–3 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years of estimating or cutting list experience for aluminum, glass, window, and door systems.
• Strong knowledge of aluminum profiles, glazing systems, and hardware.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and estimation or material optimization software.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and material take-offs for aluminum, glass, window, and door projects.
• Generate detailed cutting lists for aluminum profiles, glass panels, hardware, and accessories.
• Calculate material quantities, dimensions, and specifications from drawings.
• Review drawings for estimate accuracy and fabrication feasibility.
• Optimize cutting lists to minimize waste and costs.
• Prepare quotations and support bid submissions.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, production, and project teams.
• Revise estimates and cutting lists with design changes or site conditions.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, cutting lists, quotations, and docs.
• Provide technical clarifications and material recommendations to teams.
