We are seeking an Estimator / Cutting List Engineer responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, quotations, and detailed cutting lists for aluminum, glass, window, and door projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge of aluminum and glazing systems, the ability to interpret architectural and shop drawings, and expertise in material optimization to minimize waste and control project costs. The successful candidate will coordinate closely with design, procurement, production, and project teams to ensure accurate estimates, efficient fabrication, and smooth project execution.
Prepare accurate cost estimates and material take-offs for aluminum, glass, window, and door projects.
Generate detailed cutting lists for aluminum profiles, glass panels, hardware, and accessories.
Calculate material quantities, dimensions, and specifications based on project drawings and requirements.
Review architectural and shop drawings to ensure estimate accuracy and fabrication feasibility.
Optimize cutting lists to minimize material waste and maximize cost efficiency.
Prepare quotations and provide technical support during tender and bid submissions.
Coordinate with design, procurement, production, and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Revise estimates and cutting lists based on design changes, site conditions, or client requirements.
Maintain organized records of estimates, cutting lists, quotations, and project documentation.
Provide technical clarifications and material recommendations to production and site teams.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
At least 2–3 years of experience in estimating and/or cutting list preparation for aluminum, glass, window, and door systems.
Strong knowledge of aluminum profiles, glazing systems, window and door fabrication, and hardware.
Proficient in AutoCAD and estimation or material optimization software.
Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and shop drawings.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
