Job summary

S&P Global in Manila, Philippines, is seeking a detail-oriented professional to support Universe Management for data supporting maintenance and calculation of indices. You will verify corporate actions, input data into databases, and help uphold data integrity across global markets.

The role requires 3+ years in financial data research or related operations, proficiency in Python/SQL/VBA, and strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in financial data research, corporate actions processing, or index operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Python (in particular), SQL, and/or VBA, and excellent analytical and communication skills.
• External candidates reaching the final interview stage must attend at least one in-person interview at the nearest S&P Global office before an offer can be extended.

Responsibilities

• Research and verify corporate actions and dividends, accurately inputting them into proprietary databases, thereby contributing directly to the integrity and quality of our global financial indices and supporting critical financial infrastructure.
• Proactively monitor multiple news sources for new corporate action announcements, ensuring data quality and adherence to strict deadlines across diverse global markets.
• Ensure all entries are meticulously verified and supporting evidence is stored, providing guidance and clarification to support the team in delivering quality work and resolving varied, non‑routine issues that may arise.
• Provide operational support for US continuous trading and APAC extended trading hours, including backup functions, demonstrating adaptability in dynamic environments and collaborating effectively with global teams for seamless handovers.
• Proactively communicate major issues, efficiently answer client queries on corporate actions, and coordinate with global teams, fostering strong customer focus and effective cross‑regional collaboration to ensure smooth operations.
• All employees are required to work from the office a minimum of two days per week.
