Job summary

WeSupport Incorporated is seeking a Release Manager to own the release management lifecycle for multiple applications. You will schedule, coordinate, and manage releases across portfolios while collaborating with developers, testers, and project managers to optimize build and test environments.

The role requires 5+ years in release management or related fields, strong knowledge of the software development life cycle and ITIL principles, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or service transition.
• Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle.
• Advanced knowledge in ITIL.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward task completion.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
• General PC knowledge including MS Office.
• ITIL certification (nice to have).
• Experience with deploying packaged applications (nice to have).
• Experience in banking application or systems (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Own the release management lifecycle across multiple applications.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, and project managers to set up build/test environments.
• Build and manage the release calendar with portfolios across IT.
• Plan release windows and cycles across portfolios.
• Manage risks and resolve issues affecting scope, schedule, or quality.
• Monitor progress to ensure timely, on-budget releases that meet expectations.
• Conduct release readiness, milestone, and go/no-go reviews.
• Produce deployment run books and implementation plans.
• Participate in change control board meetings to discuss scope and roadblocks.
