Job summary

Umpisa Inc. is seeking a Release Manager to own the release management lifecycle across multiple applications and portfolios. You will coordinate teams, plan release windows, and manage risks and quality across development, testing, and production environments.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in release or project management, strong communication, and familiarity with agile frameworks. This role offers a dynamic IT environment and opportunities to drive digital transformations for our clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in release management, project management, or service transition.
• Advanced knowledge of software development life cycle.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross functional work teams toward task completion.
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills as a must.
• General PC knowledge including MS Office.
• ITIL certification is a nice to have skill.
• Nice to have experience with deploying packaged applications.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environment.
• Work collaboratively with all participants in software development projects and is supportive of developers and testers as they set up their build and test environments.
• Build the release calendar in working closely with project managers of different portfolios across IT and centralizing view of all releases.
• Forward plan the release windows and cycles across a portfolio.
• Manage risks and resolves issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
• Measure and monitor progress to ensure application releases are delivered on time and within budget, and that they meet or exceed expectations.
• Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go/no go reviews.
• Produce deployment, run books, and implementation plans.
• Participate in change control board meetings to discuss release scope and roadblocks
