Job summary

Cobden & Carter International seeks a Corporate Health and Safety Superintendent to join its Health, Safety, and Security leadership team. The role develops, implements, and monitors safety strategies across sites, providing high-level guidance to site Safety Engineers and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The incumbent leads investigations, risk assessments, and audits, while maintaining a strong safety culture and alignment with corporate policies and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and licensed engineer.
• Proven experience leading safety management teams in high-hazard settings.
• Experience in incident investigations and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead site Safety Engineers and manage technical execution across facilities.
• Drive corporate health and safety initiatives for a proactive safety culture.
• Serve as on-site SME for health, safety, and related concerns.
• Lead investigations, root-cause analyses, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and hazard surveys to improve site safety.
• Review and update safety policies to align with regulations and workflows.
• Validate metrics and ensure statutory reporting compliance.
• Monitor trends to adjust programs, emergency plans, and site standards.
