Responsibilities
- Supports operations with operational/maintenance requirements in activities such as confined space entries, chemical delivery escorts, functionality testing of fire protection and emergency equipment, etc.
- Maintains availability and functionality of all firefighting and emergency response equipment, such as fire truck, ranger 3 high-volume foam/water monitor, hazmat trailer, fire suits, SCBAs, fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, spill containment booms, Foam Carts, etc., and performs troubleshooting/repairs for minor defects on equipment, or elevates defects to maintenance notifications if repairs needed are beyond the capacity of the job holder to perform.
- Responds to plant emergencies relative to safety, health and environment such as fire, oil/hazardous material spill, high angle rescue, confined space rescue, fleet incidents/rescue, etc., applying the established company procedures and response strategies to safely address the emergency the soonest time possible.
- Assists the department in the development and implementation of programs relative to occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, emergency response, environment conservation, and pollution prevention.
- Supports the department in the development and conduct of trainings related to occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, emergency response, environment conservation, and pollution prevention.
- Inspected and maintained safety equipment, ensuring it was in optimal condition and readily available for use.
- Established a behavioral safety program to encourage safe working practices and reduce human error-related incidents.
- Facilitated safety meetings, encouraging open discussions about safety concerns and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Reported all safety issues in efficient and professional manner, in order to reduce risk.
- Prepared detailed reports on safety inspections, audits, and accident investigations to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
- Investigated workplace accidents to identify root causes and implemented measures to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
• Bachelor\'s Degree Graduate
• Complete a 40-hour Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) training course
• Complete an additional 48 hours of advanced or specialized OSH training
• Have at least two years of relevant OSH experience in a Manufacturing Company set-up
• Must have valid BOSH SO3 Certificate/LCM Certificate
• Willing to work in FPIP, Sto. Tomas, Batangas
• Preferably someone who can start ASAP
