Core-VA Solutions is looking for a detail-oriented and organized EHR Administrative Specialist to support one of our U.S. healthcare clients with Electronic Health Record (EHR) administration, data management, reporting, and day-to-day administrative support.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is comfortable working with healthcare data, enjoys keeping records accurate and organized, and can quickly learn and navigate EHR systems. Hands-on experience with Data Pulls or EHR data extraction is highly valued.
What You’ll Do
EHR & Administrative Support
- Provide day-to-day administrative support related to EHR operations and assigned healthcare projects.
- Organize documents, follow up on tasks, and help keep administrative workflows on track.
- Support the on-site team with EHR-related assignments and deliverables.
Record Management
- Enter, update, and maintain patient and employee information accurately within the EHR.
- Review records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Help keep electronic records organized and up to date.
Data Pulls & Reporting
- Use Data Pulls or similar EHR data extraction tools to retrieve information from healthcare systems.
- Organize and prepare extracted data in Microsoft Excel for reporting, analysis, and operational use.
- Assist with recurring reports, data requests, and other EHR-related reporting needs.
Team Collaboration
- Participate in weekly onboarding and implementation calls.
- Coordinate with the implementation team and client staff to stay aligned on priorities, milestones, and deliverables.
- Communicate updates, questions, and follow-ups clearly and professionally.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of administrative support experience, preferably supporting U.S.-based clients or healthcare organizations.
- Hands-on experience working with EHR/EMR systems.
- Experience with Data Pulls, data extraction, EHR reporting, or similar healthcare data tools.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including organizing and working with large amounts of data.
- Background in healthcare administration, medical administration, or EHR support is strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive information.
- Strong organization, communication, follow-through, and time management skills.
- Comfortable learning new systems, processes, and technology.
- Able to work independently while staying responsive and collaborative with the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, HR, IT, or a related field is preferred but not required.
EHR Experience We Value
Experience with CareLogic, Credible, NextGen, athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or other EHR/EMR platforms with data extraction and reporting capabilities is highly encouraged.
