Shangri-La Boracay Resort & Spa in the Philippines seeks a proactive Engineering leader to oversee maintenance of buildings, fixtures and equipment, ensuring the hotel’s facilities operate flawlessly and safely on Boracay Island.

You will drive profitability by optimizing operations, manage the Engineering Department budget, mentor a diverse team, and ensure compliance with local regulations while communicating fluently in English and Filipino.

Qualifications

• Engineering passion required.
• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with an International Hotel Group.
• Fluent in English and Filipino.

Oversee maintenance and repair of all buildings, fixtures, fittings and equipmentContribute ideas and suggestions to improve profitability of hotelEnsure that the equipment in the hotel runs smoothly and efficiently at all timesEnsure the efficient and economic operations of the Engineering DepartmentManage the budget and expenditure on maintenance and projectsMaintain standards and ensure facilities are compliant with local regulations

REQUIREMENTS

• Has a passion for Engineering
• Preferably a degree holder in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
• Has relevant experience with an International Hotel Group
• Communicates and writes with fluency in English and Filipino
• Has great leadership and interpersonal skills
