• Oversee customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with regulations.
• Monitor and negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers.
• Ensure storage, handling, and dispatch of goods to meet customer demands.
• Implement inventory management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize losses.
• Oversee warehouse layout, space utilization, and order-picking processes for efficiency.
• Ensure maintenance of equipment, such as forklifts and conveyors for smooth operations.
• Develop and implement operational policies to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Track KPIs such as order accuracy, cycle time, and delivery performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean or Six Sigma).
• Manage budgets and control operational costs.
• Recruit, train, and supervise warehouse and logistics staff.
• Foster teamwork, safety and accountability in the distribution center.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and development.

Job description

1. Logistics Management:

• Ø Plan, organize, and monitor inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation and distribution of goods
• Ø Collaborate with suppliers, transport companies, and internal departments to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs
• Ø Oversee customs clearance, documentation, and compliance with regulations
• Ø Monitor and negotiate contracts with third-party logistics providers

2. Warehouse Management:

• Ø Ensure the effective storage, handling, and dispatch of goods to meet customer demands
• Ø Implement inventory management systems to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize losses
• Ø Oversee warehouse layout, space utilization, and order-picking processes for maximum efficiency
• Ø Ensure maintenance of equipment, such as forklifts and conveyor systems, for smooth operations

3. Operations Management:

• Ø Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve workflow and efficiency
• Ø Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, cycle time, and delivery performance

• Ø Communicate effectively with upper management on progress, challenges, and operational metrics

7. Technology & Systems Management:

• Ø Oversee the use of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other logistics software
