Job summary

Ascendi Global seeks an experienced Project Engineering Director to lead planning and execution of major capital expenditure and engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.

Role covers feasibility through turnover, with a focus on greenfield manufacturing and large CAPEX investments. Will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the Philippines, with base in Canlubang, Laguna.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics Engineering; licensed preferred.
• At least 10 years in engineering, plant development, construction or industrial project management.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership or management role.
• Proven end-to-end delivery of greenfield manufacturing facilities or industrial facilities in consumer/manufacturing industries.
• Experience building a plant from greenfield or brownfield is a must.
• Demonstrated experience managing major CAPEX projects with total value of at least PHP 4 billion.
• Strong PM, budgeting, scheduling, contract management, risk management, and contractor management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience with AutoCAD, project scheduling tools, and project management software is preferred.
• Willing to travel across the Philippines; base in Canlubang, Laguna.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from feasibility studies to final turnover.
• Oversee greenfield manufacturing and industrial facilities development and execution.
• Develop and manage CAPEX budgets, cost estimates, and procurement strategies.
• Provide governance for major engineering and construction projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Coordinate architects, consultants, EPC contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory, environmental, and health and safety rules.
• Monitor progress, expenditure, risks, milestones, and reporting to management.
• Lead risk management, design changes, contract variations, and corrective actions.
• Drive value engineering and constructability improvements without compromising quality.
• Coordinate permits, licences, and government approvals for project execution.
• Engage with operations, procurement, finance, EHS, and senior management to ensure delivery.
