Asia Select, Inc. (ASI) in the Philippines seeks a proven General Manager for the construction business. You will lead operations, oversee engineering, project delivery, procurement, finance, and HR to drive profitability and growth.

The role requires 15+ years in construction with 5+ years in senior leadership such as GM or Director. You will ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and strong client relationships while aligning with strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; licensed Civil Engineer preferred.
• 15+ years progressive construction industry experience.
• 5+ years senior leadership in general management or equivalent.
• Proven experience in project management, contract administration, cost management, procurement, and commercial operations.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall management and performance of the construction business, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and growth strategies.
• Develop and execute business plans, operational strategies, and organizational initiatives that drive profitability and long-term growth.
• Oversee the end-to-end execution of construction projects, ensuring delivery within timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Monitor project performance, resource utilization, contract execution, risk exposure, and financial results across all active projects.
• Direct and coordinate Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Procurement, Finance, HR, Equipment, and Administrative functions.
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, building codes, environmental regulations, occupational health and safety standards, and contractual obligations.
• Lead project bidding, contract negotiations, project mobilization, and commercial reviews to maximize business opportunities and profitability.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, project owners, consultants, contractors, developers, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Drive operational efficiencies, productivity improvements, cost management initiatives, and process standardization across the organization.
• Oversee annual budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management, working capital requirements, and overall business performance.
• Review project financials, margin performance, cost controls, claims management, and revenue recognition activities.
• Identify business risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure effective governance and internal controls.
• Lead organizational development initiatives, workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
• Build a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, customer focus, and operational excellence.
• Evaluate expansion opportunities, strategic partnerships, investments, and new business development initiatives.
• Provide regular business performance updates and strategic recommendations to shareholders, directors, and executive leadership.
