Job summary

Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is seeking a Virtual Account Opening Officer to engage DAO fallout clients and drive their end-to-end virtual account opening journey. The role emphasizes lead reactivation, onboarding, KYC compliance, and timely application processing to support the bank’s growth objectives.

The VAO will conduct virtual sessions, review documents for compliance, and coordinate with various units to complete onboarding. Onsite assignment at BPI Buendia Center is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field required or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience in sales, banking operations, customer service, telesales, account opening, or client relationship management preferred
• Experience in customer onboarding, lead generation, or virtual client engagement is a plus
• Familiarity with KYC, AML, and due diligence procedures is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Engage and reactivate DAO fallout leads through approved channels.
• Assess client interest, eligibility, and readiness to proceed with account opening.
• Conduct timely follow-ups and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
• Facilitate virtual account opening applications and validate KYC and documentary requirements.
• Review submitted documents for completeness and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with clients to resolve missing requirements within turnaround times.
• Conduct virtual account opening sessions per service and compliance standards.
• Endorse completed applications to appropriate units and monitor onboarding progress.
• Provide clients with updates, guidance, and support throughout onboarding.
• Promote enrollment in Bank's digital platforms and educate clients on features and benefits.
• Uphold brand and commitment to exceptional customer experience
