Job summary

KGPCo is seeking a telecommunications design engineer to prepare site and construction drawings for telecom facilities, ensuring cost efficiency and alignment with codes and standards.

You will interpret drawings, support layout and design work, perform self-checks for accuracy, manage workloads to meet deadlines, and assist in training junior staff. Ideal candidates have 1–5 years of telecom design experience and FTTH knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, QGIS, or specialized GIS platforms.
• Strong understanding of telecommunication fiber technology, FTTH design, and safety regulations.
• 1–5 years of telecommunications design experience.

Job description:

• Prepares site drawings and construction drawings for various telecommunication facilities in a cost effective manner

Interpret codes, standards, requirements, and guideline for telecommunication projects

Interpret engineering drawings and assisting with layout and design engineering work for construction

Perform self-check and quality control of work for completeness, accuracy, client standards, and overall presentation

Schedule and submit workload to meet critical engineering design due dates

Assist in the training of other engineering personnel

Participate in and comply with company Safety Program and complete all training required

Represent KGPCo to the community with attention to the highest standard of conduct, appearance, and attitude

Perform other duties or responsibilities as required or assigned

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronics) or equivalent work experience.
• Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD, QGIS, or specialized GIS platforms.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of telecommunication fiber technology, FTTH (Fiber to the Home) design, and safety regulations.
• Experience: Generally 1–5 years in telecommunications design.
